“He said to me, ‘You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.’ I replied, ‘But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the LORD’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.“—Isaiah 49:3-4
Have you ever felt like all your efforts, all your prayers, all your sacrifices were in vain? Have you ever wondered, “Am I really making a difference?” If so, you are not alone! Even the prophet Isaiah felt this way. He had poured out his strength, given everything he had, yet he wondered if it even mattered.
Maybe you’ve been working hard in ministry, raising your family with faith, standing for righteousness in a world that seems indifferent, and you’re asking yourself, “Is it worth it?” But here’s what God says to you today: “You are My servant, and you will bring Me glory!”
The Good News is that even when you don’t see immediate results, your obedience is never wasted. Every prayer you’ve prayed, every seed you’ve sown, every step of faith you’ve taken is known to God. What you do for Him carries eternal weight. He is the One who rewards!

I think of missionaries, pastors, parents, and everyday believers who labor tirelessly for the Kingdom, often feeling unseen. But let me remind you: God sees. God remembers. And God will reward.
A man named William Carey, known as the father of modern missions, labored in India for seven years before seeing his first convert. Imagine preaching, praying, and serving for seven years with no visible results! Yet today, millions of believers trace their faith back to the seeds he planted. What seemed like “nothing” in the moment became a harvest for generations.
“Your labor is not wasted, your prayers are not forgotten, and your faithfulness is seen by Heaven. God will reward you beyond what you can imagine!”
Dear friend, your labor in the Lord is not in vain! You may not see the impact today, but Heaven sees it! Your faithfulness is storing up a reward beyond what you can imagine. That’s why Isaiah declared, “I will trust God for my reward.” It’s not about what we can measure but it’s about trusting in the One who never forgets.
So keep pressing forward. Keep believing. Keep doing what God has called you to do. The Holy Spirit is working behind the scenes. And in due season, you will see the harvest!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that my work for You is never in vain. Even when I don’t see the results, I choose to trust in Your reward. Strengthen me to keep going, to stay faithful, and to bring You glory in all that I do. Holy Spirit, fill me with fresh fire and remind me that my obedience matters. I place it all in Your hands, and I trust You for the outcome. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
