“Since then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:1-2
Life has a way of pulling our focus downward. Bills to pay, challenges at work, family concerns, and even the endless flow of news can trap us in an earthly mindset. But Paul is reminding us that something powerful already happened: we have been raised with Christ. This is not just a future hope; it is a present reality. Because Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, we too have access to a higher perspective, a heavenly vision that changes the way we live on earth.
Think of an eagle soaring above the mountains. From the ground, the landscape might look crowded, chaotic, or confusing. But from above, everything is clear, ordered, and beautiful. In the same way, when our hearts and minds are lifted to the things above, the confusion of this world loses its power. The Good News is, we do not need to be trapped in a low perspective. The Holy Spirit enables us to rise and see life from God’s point of view.

This is also true for you and your family. When you set your heart above, you will find peace that nothing can steal, and hope that nothing can shake. Even in the midst of struggles, God’s promises remain unshakable. Lift your thoughts, lift your worship, lift your faith. As you do, you will discover the joy of walking in the reality of heaven on earth
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that my life is raised with You. Help me to fix my heart and my mind on the things above, where You reign in victory. Holy Spirit, lift me higher every day, above fear and confusion, and fill me with Your peace and confidence. Amen.
