“Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your Teacher with your own eyes.” – Isaiah 30:20
Life doesn’t always go as we plan. Sometimes we face seasons of adversity, moments when it feels like the challenges are too heavy, and the struggles seem to never end. Maybe you’re walking through such a season right now, or you know someone who is. But I want to remind you of something powerful: God has not abandoned you. In the middle of your trials, He is right there with you.
The promise in Isaiah 30:20 is incredible. Yes, there may be moments when the road is tough, but God’s Word says He will still be with you. He’s not distant, and He hasn’t forgotten you. In fact, these moments of difficulty can become classrooms of faith. God, through the Holy Spirit, is your Teacher, guiding you, strengthening you, and helping you grow through every challenge.
“Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your Teacher with your own eyes.” – Isaiah 30:20
I remember the times when I faced a deeply challenging season in my own life. Sometimes it felt like everything was falling apart, and I couldn’t understand why. As I know that God is the answer, I usually pray and ask God to remove the difficulty; but sometimes instead of taking it away, He teaches me something far more valuable. He is such a great Teacher, looking to change us to become more like Him. He teaches me to trust Him at a deeper level, to rely on His strength instead of my own, and to recognize His voice in the middle of the storm. Looking back now to some of these situations, I realize that those lessons changed me forever. They gave me a faith and confidence that no circumstance can take away.
Maybe you’ve felt like the adversity in your life has no purpose. But let me encourage you today, God is using it for your good. He is teaching you how to stand firm, how to trust Him, and how to walk by faith even when you can’t see the way forward. And His promise is that you will see Him. You’ll see His faithfulness, His guidance, and His love showing up in ways you never expected.
“Adversity may challenge you, but it will never defeat you when God is your Teacher. Trust Him, and you will see His hand guiding you through every trial.”
Think about this: some of the strongest people of faith you know didn’t get that way because life was easy. No, they became strong because they learned to lean on God through the difficulties. They saw Him show up in the middle of their struggles, and those moments became testimonies of His goodness.
So, if you’re facing adversity today, don’t give up. Look for God in the middle of it. Ask Him to teach you, to strengthen you, and to lead you. And remember, His promise is true: You will see your Teacher. You will see His hand at work in your life, and you’ll come out of this season stronger, more faithful, and more confident in His love for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being with me in every season of my life. Even in the midst of adversity, I trust that You are teaching me, guiding me, and drawing me closer to You. Open my eyes to see Your presence and to learn the lessons You have for me. Give me strength, peace, and unwavering faith as I walk through this season with You by my side. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
