“Then David continued, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the LORD is finished correctly.” – 1 Chronicles 28:20 David had it on his heart to build a temple for the Lord. But God had told him that it was his son who should build it. Solomon, for years, had heard from his father about this extraordinary project to build this temple to house the Presence and Glory of God. But he was inexperienced, probably frightened by the challenge and size of the project. And it was in this context, when he was young but called by God, that David gave him this word not to be afraid, but to strengthen himself and take courage. God is calling you to do things that no one has done before. And when God calls you, it’s because He believes in you, and He says “You can do it”, so “do it”. This is your time even if you are young and inexperienced. It’s your season to rise with strength and courage to do God’s work. Like Solomon, perhaps you don’t know exactly how to accomplish the project God has entrusted to you. So, turn to other people, like your father or mother – mentors or advisors, who have the plan and the experience. But they’re not the ones called upon to build, you are. So, listen carefully to the advice, ideas and plans of the people God is going to put on your side, and do the work that will glorify Your Lord.

Being strong and courageous is a commendable quality to have, as it can help you overcome challenges and achieve your goals. Here are a few thoughts on how to cultivate strength and courage: 1) Embrace your fears: Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to face and overcome it. Recognize your fears and confront them head-on. By acknowledging them, you can take steps to overcome them and grow stronger in the process. 2) Set meaningful goals: Define what you want to achieve in your life and set goals that align with your values and aspirations. Ask the Lord to release in your heart His will to receive a vision from Him. Having a clear vision and purpose can give you the motivation to persevere through difficult times. 3) Take calculated risks: Stepping outside of your comfort zone, called step of faith, is essential for personal and professional growth. Be willing to take calculated risks and embrace new opportunities. Even if things don’t work as planned, view setbacks as learning experiences and opportunities for improvement. 4) Surround yourself with support: Build a strong support system of family, friends, mentors, or like-minded individuals who can encourage and inspire you. Having people who believe in you can boost your confidence and provide valuable guidance when facing challenges. 5) Practice resilience: Life is full of ups and downs, and setbacks are inevitable. Cultivate resilience by developing a positive mindset and learning from failures. See challenges as opportunities for growth and find ways to bounce back stronger. 6) Take care of yourself: Physical and mental well-being are essential for strength and courage. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly, eating nutritious food, getting enough rest, and managing stress. Self-care activities such as meditation, hobbies, and spending time in nature can also contribute to your overall well-being. |

You have the potential within you to overcome obstacles and achieve great things. And never forget, God is with you and will never forsake you. |
Prayer: Oh Lord my God, I want to do what you ask me to do. I decide to take strength and courage to build what nobody else has been called to do. I want to glorify your name. Have mercy on me. Thanks for choosing. I trust you and believe you will provide with everything I need to do with excellency what you call me to do for this new season.
