“Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you”. – Psalms 25:5
Expecting God all day long was one of David’s secrets of being a man after God’s own heart. As we can read, David mostly faced the same challenges that every human being faces, sometimes more or less and was thus given his responsibility as king. He had many enemies, he had anxieties and fears that he mentions in these Psalms.
But David had found the way to salvation and deliverance, which always led him – all day long – put his hope in God.
“Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you”. – Psalms 25:5
If you face pressures, impossibilities, mountains, persecutions, injustices, anxieties and fears, so turn your eyes to Him who is the God of your salvation. Let the eyes of your heart see a glimmer of hope in God in front of the various challenges you face. Nothing is lost if you don’t give up seeking God, who is present and who will never abandon you.
In this expectation of God, like a Good Shepherd, He wants to lead you to the truth. This truth is found in His Word, to guide you in His will. He may need to change some of your actions or directions you’ve taken in your life. As the seasons change, sometimes we shouldn´t be stubborn in our unwillingness to move, convinced that we are on the right side. What was true yesterday is not necessarily true today. On the other hand, the Truth that is in God and is God will never change, and it is in Him that we find guidance to help us readjust certain actions to align ourselves with Him.
“Security and serenity are found in The Hope we can continually find day and night only in God.“
Sometimes, we don’t know what to do or what to decide or even what to change in order to take the path of salvation. It may seem to you that the road with your spouse or your family is dead-end. Or your business, ministry or finances may be shaken to the point where you can no longer calmly make the right choices. Maybe you’re feeling lost or just need some good advice. The good news is that when you turn to God, He will teach you. All you have to do is spend some time with Him and listen. Since He’s your God, you can talk to Him and tell Him anything. He’ll listen. But above all, open your heart, your mind and your ears so that you can listen to His gentle voice that wants to instruct you.
What a privilege it is to receive guidelines from our Creator. He is the architect of our lives, and by letting Him instruct us, He can build us in His image. Nothing is lost when we turn our eyes to this God of hope and let Him work in us through His Word.
Prayer: Thanks, God, for being the source of Hope. Despite the season I’m in, I put my trust in you alone knowing that there is Hope in you for my present and my future. Lead me by your truth and instruct me on everything to have a happy life.
