Why did he come?

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” – 1 Timothy 1 :15

Jesus did not come down from heaven and did not lay down in a poor manger to prove his humility. He did not leave his glory behind which reigns the paradise in exchange to the human misery in order to show that he is the best. No… our King does not need any certification. He is not in need of our applause … He is very secure in his identity.

The only and unique reason why Jesus came down on earth, was to save the sinners. He just came to accomplish what God bears the most on his heart: to tear the souls off the claws of hell. The meaning of that is such easy and deep.

You, my friend, were his motivation. He loves you. Never doubt God’s love for you! Never ever. Repent from your sins, turn away from this immoral life and run as fast as you can in the arms of this wonderful savior, the name of which is Jesus Christ from Nazareth.

Prayer: Thank you infinitely, father, for you love shown by Jesus on the cross. Fill me, Holy Spirit, with this tenderness and power of the divine love. I love you, Lord. Thank you as you love me… Amen.
