We are blessed with every spiritual blessing

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3

The God and Father is the one of those who are in Him. God is “the God” of the man Jesus, and “the Father” of the Divine Word. The Greek is, “Blessed us,” not “hath blessed us”; referring to the past original counsel of God. As in creation so in redemption God “blesses” His children; and that not in mere words, but in acts.

In heavenly places is the phrase we can find five times in this Epistle, and not elsewhere. In Greek, “in the heavenly places.” Christ’s ascension is the means of introducing us into the heavenly places, which by our sin were barred against us. Compare the change made by Christ. While Christ in the flesh was in the form of a servant, God’s people could not fully  realize their heavenly privileges as sons. Now “our citizenship is in heaven” (Php 3:20), where our High Priest is ever “blessing” us. Our “treasures” are there (Mt 6:20, 21).  Our aims and affections (Col 3:1, 2), our hope (Col 1:5; Tit 2:13), our inheritance (1Pe 1:4) are all for us. The gift of the Spirit itself, the source of the “spiritual blessing,” is by virtue of Jesus having ascended thither.

The Good News is that we are called to bring these spiritual blessings to earth, which will affect not only the spiritual real but also the emotion and physical. It’s the Greek mentality that tries to separate the spirit, soul and body. But God created in His own image, meaning that we are one in three partites.

One of the most important aspects of seeing ourselves is God’s way which involves developing a prosperous mindset according to his riches. Understand, God has already provided and equipped you with everything you need to live a prosperous life and to fulfill your God-given destiny.

He planted “seeds” within you filled with possibilities, incredible potential, creative ideas, and dreams. But you have to start tapping into them. You’ve got to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have what it takes.

“God has already provided and wants to equip you with every blessings you need to live a prosperous life to fulfill your destiny to become a source of blessings for others.”

Jean-Luc Trachsel

God created you to excel, and He’s given you ability, insight, talent, wisdom, and His supernatural power to do so. Today, God has everything you need to live a prosperous life. Enter into the joy of the Lord and be faithful to use all He’s given you. Don’t stay in a mediocrity mentality connected often to a religious spirit but open yourself to God’s will. Embrace this generosity coming from Heaven with every spiritual blessing.

Prayer: Lord, you are such a generous God. Today, I open myself to this blessing that you’ve released over me as I’m united in you. I receive all these spiritual blessings to become a blessing for my family, my neighborhood and community. And as you bless me I will be a source of blessings for others.
