“The LORD replied, “Is it right for you to be angry about this?”” – Jonah 4:4 Every human being faces wrongdoers and for some it is humanly difficult to forgive. But the good news is that God can give us the willingness and ability to forgive anyone so that we can grow and not remain prisoners of those who have offended us. Unfortunately, too many people remain locked in the unhealthy prison of unforgiveness. What does the toxic waste of unforgiveness look like in our lives? For some people, it manifests as anger. For other people, it smells like depression. For still others, it reeks of low self-esteem. The problem can manifest itself in many different ways, often doing damage even triggering various illnesses before we even realize it.

The simple truth is that if we have bitterness inside of us, it will eventually contaminate everything that comes out of us. It will contaminate our personalities and attitudes, as well as the way we treat others. If you are feeding on anger ask yourself why you are always negative about yourself, about others, about life in general. Dare to look inside yourself. You must first take care of your inner self, then you can really be happy. |

So today is the time to remove with God’s help but determination this rot in you that will worsen your situation if you do not intervene. Just let go and hand over to God all these misunderstandings, pains, injustices. And as you let go of those unforgiving or things that are rotting deep within you, ask God for forgiveness for letting them take root in your lives. Forgive those who have hurt you! Forgive yourself and let God forgive you. And so, a new day will dawn. The doors of this prison will open to allow fresh air to enter your soul and give you hope. Forgiveness will allow you to leave this prison and look forward to a glorious future that God has prepared for you. You will experience a new dimension of true life in God. You will experience magnificent victories where you will find a peace and inner joy that is priceless for your well-being and fulfillment. |
Prayer: Holy Spirit check my inside and show me anything that doesn’t please you. Show me anything that smells bad. And today if I have unforgiveness or bitterness or anything that stinks I ask you for your help to remove it. I forgive all those who hurt or even tried to destroy my life. I forgive myself. I forgive you and I ask you to forgive me. Fill me with your peace, joy and new hope.
