“So, God caused water to gush out of a hollow in the ground at Lehi, and Samson was revived as he drank. Then he named that place “The Spring of the One Who Cried Out,” and it is still in Lehi to this day.”
Samson had just experienced an unprecedented victory. With a donkey’s jaw, he confronted 3000 Philistines and killed 1000 of them. The victory was obvious, but it was at this point that Samson, exhausted and pressed by thirst, called upon the Lord and said: “You have allowed this great deliverance by the hand of your servant, and now shall I die of thirst, and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?
When Samson called upon the name of the Lord and told him of his situation, the Creator God, who is extremely good, split the cavity of the rock in Lehi and water came out of it. This water that supernaturally came out of the crack of the rock was an extraordinary fresh and living water; a gift from heaven. When Samson drank, his spirit revived and he came to life. From there, this spring was called En-Hakkore, which means “the spring of the one who cried out”.
Each of us has moments of fights and victories, also moments when we are exhausted, tired and thirsty. You may have faced great challenges and by God’s grace you have had some victories, but today you are exhausted and thirsty. Perhaps you have just had an intensive season at work, but right now you need new strength. You have just finished your exams, or you have just run a specific marathon and like every human being you have reached the end of your limits and you need to drink.
The good news is that today you can call on the name of the Lord and ask him to bring forth a spring of fresh water. As you put your faith in HIM, God will give you fresh water in a supernatural way, out of the rock that will revive your spirit and you will come alive.
Allow this fresh water, which is this wonderful Holy Spirit, to come into you to give you to drink and give you the strength you need. As you allow HIM to flow like a river of fresh water, your discouraged soul will regain energy and your weakened spirit will come to life. This water of life is here for you. God himself has heard your cry and he will not let you die. He wants to give you back your life and all the energy you need. Just drink from this source of living water which is the answer to your prayer. And give Him all the Praise and All the Glory for this supernatural provision of His water.
Prayer: God, I believe that you answer prayer. Today, I’m asking you to cause water to gush out of a hollow in the ground. I need strength and fresh water. I open myself to the Holy Spirit and I come to him to drink this fresh living water to revive my spirit to receive new strengths. Thank you, God.
