He is looking for our pure hearts

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” – 2 Timothy 2 :21

D.L Moody once said: “God is not looking for a jar of gold or silver, but he is looking for pure jars”. Do you want to be used by the almighty God? Do you want to see a change in history? Do you want to have an eternal impact and footstep? In that case, the only demand you should have, is to keep yourself pure.

I know… I know… Some may say that I am too legalistic and that I do not have enough grace. The problem is, that only the standards of the scriptures can dictate the truth and thus lead us to the experience of this truth. And the scripture is clear enough concerning the reality of a pure heart: Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savor: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honor. (Ecclesiast 10 :1)

My friends, purity is so powerful. The purity of the heart enables the anointing and action of the Spirit to flood without difficulty and without danger for the jar. The good news is, when you fight in areas of your life where impurity is alive, the grace of Jesus is accessible for you in order to help you to get purified, to clean impure hands and to forbear from contamination of this world! Catch it and decide to live a pure life in order to be useful for the master and clean for all possible good work.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, because I am purified by your blood. Your blood washes me and makes me holy. Help me, Holy Spirit, to live a sanctified life in order to be useful. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
