Have I been forgotten?

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish” – John 10 : 28

A Christian should never think or speak too lightly about unbelief. Indeed, when one of God’s children mistrusts His love, His truth, and His faithfulness, I think that God does not appreciate this at all. Not trusting the father is one of the greatest injustices that exist because God is the worthiest of our trust. However, we think and act in our subconscious as if God had forgiven our sins and our former life at only 95%, 98%, or even 99.9999999%. Doing this, we mistrust the work on the cross and the resurrection of Christ.

Sometimes we also think that we have been forgotten and forsaken. We think that we are not precious enough and that God has too much to do with the issues of His kingdom rather than taking care of our small worries.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish”
John 10:28

Dear friend, this is contrary to all the promises of the precious word of God, that you would have been forsaken or abandoned. If it were the case, why would God have said: “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” (Isaiah 49:15)?

What would be the value of this promise: “For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.” (Isaiah 54:10)?

What would be the truth of Christ’s words: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:28-29)?

What would be the values of the doctrines of grace? They would all be disapproved in case that one single child of God would perish. Which value could be applied to the veracity of God, his honor, his power, his grace, his alliance, his nature, if one of those for whom Christ died and who have trusted him would be rejected? Jesus has forgiven you! Walk in this new life and serve him with all your heart.

Let’s banish these unbelieving worries which dishonor God so much. Get up, shake the dust from yourself, and get dressed with your most beautiful clothes. Remember that it is sin to doubt God’s word in which He has promised you that you will never perish. Allow the eternal life in you to express in a confident joy that you are saved, loved, chosen, and established.

Prayer: Father, thank you that I am so precious in your eyes. You love me. You have given all to me by giving your own son. I reject all kinds of mistrust concerning my salvation and your love. I love you and I trust in you. In the wonderful and beautiful name of Jesus. To God be the glory.
