Gospel Campaign – Salvador 2024

I’ve just spent four exceptional days on the crusade in El Salvador. Each day had its challenges, but each day I saw the hand of God at work.

For this evangelistic campaign, Jean-Luc Trachsel Ministries and IAHM partnered with the ministries of my friends Nathan Morris and Andrey Shapoval.

Many of you have supported this campaign financially and in prayer, and I’d like to share with you what God has done thanks to this support. It’s a logbook whose purpose is to give glory to the Holy Spirit, who has worked so powerfully.

DAY #1

It is with immense joy that I write these words. What we experienced on that first day was intense and God-filled. It bodes well for the days to come!

This first day is coming to an end, and it was devoted to the training of the country’s leaders. More than 2000 of them agreed to come and grow in healing and deliverance.

Why train local leaders during an evangelistic campaign? Because this campaign depends on them! It’s their work on the ground over the years that has opened the doors of this country today, it’s their unceasing prayers for their country that is bringing a hunger for God here today and it’s their work after the campaign that will ensure that the people who are going to give their lives to God will be able to be accompanied to continue their journey and become disciples. They are essential!

With my friend Andrey Shapoval, we shared our experience of ministry in healing and deliverance. All this was done with one aim in mind: to get all these leaders involved in this campaign, because God wants us all to work together and see results together.

I wanted to go beyond the theological aspect and explain how things work in practice. You can see below an example of what happened with Carlos who had back pain. The Holy-Spirit showed me this pain on him so that I could pray for his healing. He was healed instantly, which enabled Carlos to share this healing with everyone present and to pray with authority for all the people who had back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain… more than 50 people were healed as a result of his prayer!

You know what impressed me? Their unity. I was able to talk to some of the leaders who told me that over 200 churches in El Salvador have joined together to see God invade this country! How beautiful it is to see so many people longing for the same thing.

In Matthew 18:19-20 it is written: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them“, so imagine what that could be like with 2000! The next few days are going to be glorious!

While we waited for what was to come, we made a point of blessing them all, one by one, and they all passed through a “tunnel of fire” where we laid hands on them and prayed for each of them!

This first day was dedicated to leaders, and from tomorrow we’re going to be winning souls for God!

I look forward to writing the rest.

DAY #2

This second day was extraordinary: we saw children giving their lives to God! Let me tell you all about it.

On this second day, our team went into the field with the Flame of Fire team from Andrey Shapoval’s ministry. We visited 2 schools, the first this morning and the second this afternoon.

The first was a state school where we had 1 hour to tell the Good News to 220 children aged between 5 and 14. Their response was equal to the challenge: 93 children gave their lives to Jesus and 6 were healed!

Then this afternoon we went to a second school. We were welcomed by the headmistress of the school, whose first words were to ask us to make a call to salvation, that all these young people need God. At least the framework was set as soon as we arrived.

So we went in front of these 250 young people aged 12 to 17 to talk to them about Jesus and His sacrifice for them. The children began to respond to the call with the testimonies we gave them and the ABCs of the Gospel that were presented to them.

Yet there was one moment when things turned upside down: when they saw the power of God in action! We prayed for a young girl who had pain in her right shoulder and she was healedand do you know what? The teams applied what was taught yesterday: pray, witness and send!

This young girl was able to testify in front of the whole school that she no longer had any pain, that Jesus had healed her. Then she prayed for one of her classmates who had a sore knee… and who was instantly healed!

From that moment on, the atmosphere changed and those who were healed prayed for their classmates, who in turn were healed, and so on! It was so wonderful to see these young people experience the love of Jesus so powerfully and see their lives changed.

We stayed at the school for 2.5 hours and 54 children gave their lives to God and 26 were miraculously healed.

It’s so beautiful to see all these children responding to God’s call and starting to pray for each other!

In just one day, 470 children heard the Gospel, 32 were healed and 147 gave their lives to Jesus. In the Bible, it is written that it is a great rejoicing in heaven when one returns to God. So today there is a great rejoicing in heaven, and it’s thanks to your support. You are part of the blessing in every one of these children who has heard about God and answered his call.

Tomorrow we’re going to visit the prison and in the evening we’ll have the first evening at the stadium, more opportunities to see the Holy Spirit working powerfully.

DAY #3

It’s been an extraordinary day!

First of all, this morning we visited the women’s prison. I’ll be honest with you, it almost didn’t happen because it took us 3 hours to get there, 1 hour to get in and finally be able to preach the gospel, and then do the same thing all over again in the same amount of time. We had a very busy schedule today with the 1st evening of the crusade, which is why we were thinking of cancelling it.

But yesterday, as I was taking some time with God in my room to ask him what to do, I felt that he was asking me to go, so I obeyed.

We went to the Apenteos prison in the municipality of Santa Ana. This is the largest women’s prison in the country, with 12,500 inmates. The women in this prison are serving long sentences and life terms.

I was able to preach the dead and risen Christ, the One who gives hope, to 2,200 women gathered in a large hall. The chief chaplain even told us that it was the first time that something like that had happened in a prison in this country with so many inmates together.

Words of knowledge were given and healings took place. The Holy Spirit was present and baptized hundreds of them.

We obeyed God despite the fatigue and external constraints, but at no time did we regret our choice: more than half of them agreed to follow Jesus this morning in that prison!

The 1st meeting of this crusade took place this evening. Thousands of people were present in this stadium in Zacatecoluca, the fruit of the work of many people on the ground for weeks.

During the call to salvation, hundreds of people came to the front of the stage to place their lives in God’s hands.

I asked God to pour out his Spirit of healing on the crowd gathered there. And as always, he did not fail to live up to the promise of his name: Jehova Raphathe God who heals.

Here are a few testimonies of what God did this evening:

  • A woman had cancer in her leg and could no longer move around without pain and without a walking stick. She was able to go up on stage and testify, without her walking stick, that she no longer had any pain and could walk normally without any discomfort.
  • Another person had a heavy fall 8 months ago and broke her knee and left shoulder. Since then, she has had to use a walking stick and is still in pain. This evening she is pain-free and can walk again without her walking stick – and even run!
  • A woman had been in a wheelchair for 4 years. Her toes had been amputated and she could no longer walk or even get out of her wheelchair. This evening, the power of the Holy Spirit touched her and for the first time in 4 years she stood up and walked!
  • Reina Isabel had a stroke a year ago which left her paralysed on her left side. She couldn’t move her leg, her arm or even squeeze anything with her fingers. Tonight, Reina Isabel was standing on stage, walking normally and waving her arm, which now works perfectly, and her fingers, which are back in full use!

These are just a few examples of what God has done in his immense love. I invite you to follow me on my social media to see more.

I love to see the Holy Spirit moving in this way to pour out God’s love without limit on each of his children! And it’s all thanks to your support.

Tomorrow it’s time for our second evening at the stadium, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for that moment.

DAY #4

Today was the second evening of the crusade, and what an evening it was!

The stadium was packed to the rafters, thousands and thousands of people gathered to hear about God and, above all, to see him act with power.

As I began to speak about the Gospel to all these people, I felt God urging me to first take some time to go and pray for the sick. As I walked along the rows, praying and letting the Holy Spirit work, I saw an impressive number of young people and children. A special compassion came into my heart for them at that moment. They are the future and the key to this beautiful country of El Salvador!

I did something unusual in gatherings of this size but which, for me, was essential at that moment. As all the young people came to the front of the stage so that we could pray for them, I asked the children to come up on stage. The Holy Spirit wanted to touch them and He did!

Among all these children filled with the love of Jesus, I am convinced that the next Billy Graham or John Wesley from El Salvador is to be found. I was particularly moved by their faith

Below you can see Julio, as I prayed with my friend Andrey Shapoval, I received a word from God for him. Julio has a call to evangelism and healing. I prayed for him and sent him to lay hands on the sick.

He used Julio powerfully, and as he began to lay hands and pray for the sick, the healings began to come. It’s so wonderful to discover each time how and through whom God wants to express himself. Check out Julio’s video on my social media.

It’s a real privilege for me to serve God and to see so many people respond to His call every time. It’s such a joy to see the front of the stage fill up with so many people giving their lives to God, to see people running from the back of the stadium to the front because they’ve fully understood what’s at stake in this commitment. Tonight the sky welcomed hundreds and hundreds of newcomers!

Dear friends, thanks to your financial support all this has been possible, I would like to thank you once again from the bottom of my heart.

You have sown the Life of God in the lives of these people. Every person who has responded to God’s call, every child who has been filled with the Holy Spirit, every person who has been healed during this campaign, every prisoner who has found Hope, every life impacted has been by God and thanks to your support.

Thank you for making this possible. I will continue to proclaim Jesus Christ dead and risen until Hell is empty and Heaven is full!
