“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28 After John 3,16 and the famous Psalm 23, I think that this passage is the most well-known biblical verse for all of us. And this fame is not harmless and not without reason. This word of the Lord is so rich and really marked with God´s kindness. Do you love God? Do you believe that he has chosen you and called in order to live in his projects? Thus, the best news for you: everything will be OK. Everything will end up getting better. By the way, if it´s not “good”, that means that this is not yet the end! Did you know that the commandment used most found in God´s word is: “Do not fear?”   |
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” |
It´s clear that life with Christ is not like a prepared path where all problems of this world disappear. On the contrary, once in Jesus, God positions us and enables the trials of the daily life to approach, because he knows that we can face them by his grace. Sometimes we scream to God when we are in a situation of distress – and that’s right. We implore his aid and his salvation. However, in most cases, we do it in a condition of distress and panic, what blinds our identity which we have in Christ. In order to ask God to stop the storm, why don´t you face the storm directly on your own with authority that Jesus has given to you? Talk to the storm. Take the storm back! Order the storm to stop and never forget, oh never, that Jesus is with you on board the ship.  |
“The Holy Spirit himself as well as Jesus makes intercession to the father for you!”  |
When God is with us, who may be against us? Recently, I have discovered why: “all things work together for good to them that love God”. Do you want to know it? Two verses prior to verse 28 say: “but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.; … because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. Later on, in verse 34, we read: plus loin, au verset 34, “(Jesus) who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us”. Do you see it? The Holy Spirit himself as well as Jesus makes intercession to the father for you! Intercede means “put yourself in the place of”. When we intercede for a relative who is not saved yet, for example, this is like putting ourselves in the place of him in order to stand before God in order to implore his mercy. Thus, the second and third personality of the divine trinity are interceding for you! Non-stop, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week! That´s the reason why all things work together for good to me: because God prays for you! He carries you on his heart, he wants you to succeed and that you learn to walk in his authority and that you bring him the most possible amount of glory showing life and the enemy that: “because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1. John 4 :4). |
Prayer: Father, I love you so. Thank you for your protection up to now in your hands. Thank you that you are for me. Thank you, Jesus, and thank you, dear Holy Spirit for our intercession for me. I know that I know that I know that all things work together for good to me. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Â
