“The LORD your God is with you, he declared. “He has given you peace with the surrounding nations. He has handed them over to me, and they are now subject to the LORD and his people. Now seek the LORD your God with all your heart and soul. Build the sanctuary of the LORD God so that you can bring the Ark of the LORD’s Covenant and the holy vessels of God into the Temple built to honor the LORD’s name.”.” – 1 Chronicles 22:18-19 A few weeks ago, I was in Shiloh, Israel. And I was deeply touched to find myself in this place where the Tabernacle was. This was the location where God dwelt and where His Glory was manifest. The good news is that today God no longer wishes to reside in a tent or even in a temple made of stones, but HE has chosen you to become his dwelling place. Now is your time to seek the Lord your God with all your heart and soul. Because He reveals Himself only to those who hunger and thirst for Him. He does not wish to reveal His Glory to anyone who does not seek Him. But if you sincerely seek Him today, He will come to you in a new and glorious way.

That marvelous sanctuary where God used to dwell, it is now in your life that He wishes to dwell. Since the coming of Jesus, who transformed the Old Testament into a New Testament, the Old Covenant into a New Covenant has been a revolution for mankind. Emmanuel, God among us is the revelation of this Almighty and Glorious God who wants to transform your life into a sanctuary. Build your life, your inner being, your soul and your spirit, by allowing the Holy Spirit to transform the depths of your being to allow this most Holy God to dwell there. The Ark of the Lord, also known as the Ark of the Covenant, is a sacred object described in the Bible. According to the Old Testament, the Ark was a wooden chest covered with gold and containing the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, given to Moses by God on the Mount Sinai. It was considered to be the most sacred object. The Ark of the Covenant was housed in the Tabernacle, a portable shrine used by the Israelites on their wanderings through the desert. It was later placed in Solomon’s temple in Jerusalem. The Ark was supposed to represent God’s presence among the Israelites, and was carried by the priests on great religious ceremonies and military campaigns. |
“My life is the new tabernacle or temple where God is abiding to manifest His tangible Glorious Presence.” Jean-Luc Trachsel |
Today, as Jesus broke the old covenant by bringing a new covenant through His death and resurrection, we have access to have in us this ark of the covenant. By His immense Grace and the extraordinary action of the Holy Spirit His extraordinary Presence will reside in you, where His Glory will be manifest. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God representing the Trinity on this earth, and this in you. And while He resides in you, as in the past, people came from far away to meet God in the tabernacle. Today, you are surrounded by people who seek and need God so much that they will come to you to find answers to their questions. They will come to you because they will feel and see that God is in you. And through your life, which is God’s sanctuary, you will become a source of God’s Presence and Glory for your fellow man. |
Prayer: Thank you, God, for choosing me to become your sanctuary. With a humble heart, I say yes to you. I welcome you and ask your Grace to help me to build my life where you can stay and live. I love your Presence and your Glory more than anything else. So come in me that I can be a blessing for others.
