Faith sees the answer

Proverbs 4:20-22
“My son, pay attention to my words, give ear to my words. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in your heart. For my words are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”

The key to succeed is to pay attention and to listen to His words. Many people fail because they do not have their eyes turned to the Word of God. And instead of seeing themselves as God sees them through His Word, they see themselves as poor incompetent people who will never make it.

I say this with great caution and respect, as I do not want to accuse anyone. On the contrary, my desire is to give you hope and specially to help you develop this faith that will move your mountains. The bible says clearly that without faith it’s impossible to please God. Now many people misinterpret the faith teachings. That’s why we need the Grace of God and the help of the Holy Spirit to understand God’s principles regarding faith.

Some people who are sick already think the worst about their situation and even they think they are dying. The Word of God says to us: “Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17). So, if this Word is not chased from before our eyes, we will necessarily see ourself without sickness and disease. I am not saying that we should deny the facts or the doctor’s diagnosis. But when our eyes are attached to the promises of God, then despite the symptoms and the actual facts we will see ourself not dying but in good health. If, on the other hand, we do not see ourself without disease, then this Word has been removed from before our eyes (and this is not an accusation as I understand the tension but just a fact in the light of His world). And even if He wants to bring health to become a reality in our life, He is limited because we are not acting according to His Word.

In verse 22 it says, “For my words are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” The Hebrew word translated “health” here is also the word for medicine. In other words, “My words are medicine for all their flesh.” The first two verses of this passage tell us the steps to take this divine medicine.

What are these instructions? Observe or study the Word of God, and obey to that Word, keep it in your heart.

And what is God’s medicine? My words are life to those who find them and a remedy for all their flesh.

But the medicine must be taken according to the instructions to work, and one of the instructions is, “Let not my words depart from before your eyes.”

Keep looking at what the Word of God says. Too many people pray and pray, but they never get an answer. They just see that everything is getting worse. They keep looking at the wrong thing – the symptoms, the conditions, themselves – and so they walk in unbelief and destroy the effects of their prayer. I would say with my heart of compassion, it’s human … but surely, it’s not God’s principle that will bring healing, deliverance and salvation. He is The way, so let’s follow His directions.

Put your mind and therefore your faith on the answer. Consider yourself as having received. Constantly affirm, even in the face of contradictory evidence, that God has heard your prayer because the Word says so. This is how you will get extraordinary results.

By continually looking to the Word, faith sees the answer. Faith is not something we have but rather something we do. Faith is not hoping we will see the answer in the future, faith is believing that we already have the answer. The eyes of faith see the answer as having already happened.

Believe that you have received it before you can receive it. “What you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive it, and you will have it.” (Mark 11:24).

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you give me faith to see the answer. This is the reason I want to observe, study and obey your Word only. I want to keep all your words in my heart. Thank you for your words that are life to me and a great remedy for my flesh. Lord, I will not allow your words to depart from before my eyes.
