At work!

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.” – Matthew 9 :36-38

Did you ever ask God to use you? Have you ever felt so radical during a fire meeting or a spiritual rest, that you promised to the Lord that you would go where-ever he would send you?

We all have made courageous prayers which show our desire to serve him. I have made several prayers like those and continue making them. However, even if such big prayers are beautiful and brave, they cost extremely much. Why? Because God takes it at your word and he is very serious when we make an alliance with him. 

– “Jesus, I want to preach your gospel and change the nations, never mind the price!”  
– “Ok, I remember your prayer, so go now and speak to that person walking down the road”, is God´s answer, some days later. 
– “Oh Lord, just a moment, I need to finish my shopping, I am very busy to be honest … but later on with pleasure”.  

Have you ever experienced that?

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus orders to his disciples to pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers as the harvest of humanity is more than ready. Personally, I thing that they did it, thinking that God would send more angles on earth or that he would rise more apostles to make the job instead of themselves.  

However, later on, the same disciples, after having received the fire of the Holy Spirit, went everywhere in the world to preach the Gospel. Do you see the pattern? God wants to employ those who pray for the harvest to be themselves the laborers in the vineyard of the father! 

“God wants those who pray for the harvest, become themselves harvesters.” 

My friend, God wants to use you for the harvest! Never mind your estate. When you continue waiting for all the others living you, believing in you, accepting you, confirms you, encourages you, celebrates you, endures you, in order to make the first step of obedience to the will of God for your life, you will never do it. God has called you – not the version that pleases to everybody, not somebody else through you, not a punch or a copy. Just YOU! He created you unique, especially conceived and equipped with a certain personality, different gifts and a passion to do what he asked you to do.  

It´s time to seek God for yourself and to make some steps of faith in order to accomplish your mission on this earth. Jesus is standing by your side! So, at work! And be blessed in an abundant manner.
