“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” – Proverbs 21:31
How I love this verse! He describes perfectly this wonderful job of collaboration with God, what we are called to live. In other words: “I do what I can, and the Lord will take care of my success.” Excuse-me for this simple paraphrase, but you will understand the principle of this divine concept.
“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.”
Proverbs 21:31
Sometimes, we hide our immaturity and lack of responsibility under the pretext that “God is sovereign”. For example, if within one week, I shall have an exam and I do not revise the stuff and I do not prepare myself, God will not bless my laziness. I can pray what I can in tongues and intercede that he shall give me all answers in a supernatural way the day of my exam, but he won’t do it.
“We prepare the field, but in the end, the victory belongs to Jesus.“
On the other side, if I prepare myself correctly and do all that I can to assure the success of this evaluation, God will bless the fruit of my work. And all the glory will belong to him. We prepare the field, but in the end, the victory belongs to Jesus. Even on the best day of our life, all the glory belongs to him. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. (Philippians 4 :13) LSG
Prayer: Thank you, Lord as everything is for you. My victories are yours; my succeeding is yours; my success is yours. I love you, thank you for your grace. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
