The exchange between Christ and the human being

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth… ” – Romans 10 :4

The complete work of Christ on the cross is the best news for every human being. That day an exchange took place between God and the human being, a divine exchange so glorious that it still has an effect on humanity today.

Indeed, by his death, Jesus has conquered death. By his death, the power of the tomb has been destroyed forever. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Cor 5 :21)! What wonderful news!

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth…”
Romans 10 :4

All the way up to Golgotha, Jesus offered himself for us so that we could have eternal life. This act of unconditional love has not only been done in order to forgive all our sins, so that one day we could go to heaven. Even if this reality remains true, wonderful and a subject of adoration to God forever, Jesus is not only dead and has not only suffered for this reason … He has been crucified in order to restore us completely.

For example, he has been despised by men so that we shall once be seen and known by our heavenly father. We have made him a subject of mockery and have fooled him, so that we may one day become a celebrity. He stripped himself completely so that we shall be filled up. He has been chained so that we shall be set free, broken so that we shall be made whole. He has been whipped in a cruel manner, so that we shall be healed. They have put a crown of thorns on his head so that our thoughts shall be healthy and holy. His hands have been nailed on the wood so that the works of our own hands shall be acceptable. His feet have been nailed so that we shall march in holiness and be acceptable before God. His side has been pierced so that the human being shall have an access to the most holy place – his own heart. He has been beaten and disfigured so much that his face was unrecognizable (ref. Isaiah 52 :14) and we shall be recognizable in the eyes of the father.

“By his death, Jesus has conquered death.”

Oh, the mercy of Christ! The reality of the free gift of God will never ever bore me. His love and his mercy are so deep … Thank you Lord. Beloved friends, this exchange is for everybody, young or less young, man or woman, no matter what our culture, ethnic group, our religious membership are; Jesus offered himself for all! He is the only way to the father. Would you like to accept this exchange, this gift designed especially for you?

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for the cross. Thank you for having accepted this cruel death in order to redeem me. Holy Spirit, help me to see Christ and Christ crucified. Fill my heart with your love and show me that I am forgiven. Amen.
