“For He took notice of His lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed.” – Luke 1:48
What an incredible statement of faith from Mary! She was a young, humble girl in an unremarkable town, yet the Creator of the universe noticed her. God chose her to play a vital role in His plan to bring salvation to the world. Mary’s words remind us of an eternal truth: God sees us, He notices us, and He loves to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Maybe today you feel unnoticed or insignificant. Perhaps you’re overwhelmed by life’s challenges, or you wonder if your prayers even matter. Let me remind you: the same God who saw Mary sees you. He knows your name, your heart, and your circumstances. You are not forgotten!
“For He took notice of His lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed.”
Luke 1:48
I’m reminded of the story of my dear friend Daniel Kolenda. Years ago, Daniel began his journey serving humbly in the storehouse of Christ for All Nations (CfaN), a place hidden from the spotlight. He worked diligently, unseen by most, but never unnoticed by God. One day, Reinhard Bonnke, the great evangelist and founder of CfaN, felt prompted by the Lord to take special notice of this young man. He invited Daniel to travel with him, recognizing the hand of God on his life. Over time, God elevated Daniel to become Reinhard Bonnke’s successor, leading the ministry and bringing millions of souls to Jesus. What began in a hidden place became a platform for global impact, all because God saw him and honored his faithfulness.
God specializes in taking the “lowly” and elevating them to places of influence and blessing. The Bible is full of examples. David, the shepherd boy, became a king. Gideon, the least of his family, became a mighty warrior. Mary, a humble young girl, became the mother of our Savior. What’s the common thread? God saw them, called them, and blessed them.
“God notices the humble and blesses them beyond imagination. Stay faithful, stay hopeful, and know that His eyes are always on you.“
The same is true for you. You might feel like your life is small or that your efforts go unnoticed, but God is watching. He sees your faithfulness in raising your children, in showing kindness to others, and in staying strong through difficult times. He knows your heart and hears every prayer. And just as Mary declared that future generations would call her blessed, you too can believe that God’s blessings are coming to you and your family.
The key is to respond as Mary did, with faith and gratitude. Mary could have doubted her worth or questioned God’s plan, but instead, she embraced His promises with a heart full of trust. When you choose to believe that God is for you, even in the small moments, you open the door for Him to do amazing things in your life.
So, lift your head today and remember this: God notices you. He has a unique plan for your life, and He is working behind the scenes to bring His blessings into reality. You don’t have to be perfect or powerful for God to use you. Just be willing, and watch how He turns your story into something extraordinary.
Prayer: Father, thank You for noticing me and loving me just as I am. I trust that You have a plan for my life, even when I can’t see the full picture. Help me to remain faithful in the small things and to believe that Your blessings are on the way. Like Mary, I choose to declare that I am blessed, because You are for me and with me. Thank You for all You are doing in my life and in my family. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
