You are loved to sing joyfully to the Lord

Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous!

For praise from the upright is beautiful.

Psalms 33:1

Shout for joy. This psalm has no title, but it was probably written by David. Some think that Ps. 33:1 should be the finale of the preceding psalm, but there is no authority for this. It is as good a beginning as an ending. So let the godly sing for joy to the LORD; it is fitting for the pure to praise him.

You may say you are not righteous or godly enough before God. This is a lie from the devil because God declares over your life ‘Christ made you right with God; he made you pure and holy, and he freed you from sin. (1 Corinthians 1:30) So don’t allow the devil to accuse you through different ways and even sometimes through friends or brethren. You’ve been freed from the old way which brought condemnation, but the new way is more glorious which makes you right with God. (2 Corinthians 3:9)

You have a beautiful voice and there is a call today to lively and joyful praise to God for His glorious attributes and works. Holy joy is the heart and soul of praise, and that’s pressed here upon the righteous. Thankful praise is the breath and language of holy joy. When you sing and rejoice in the Lord, you allow the sounds from Heaven to bring Hope and victory in your life. And the word “beautiful or comely” in Hebrew is “Na’veh” which means that it’s beautiful but also your duty, your honor as righteous to praise the Lord; on the contrary, silence is the shame and dishonor because you have truly experienced the Lord.

Nine Reasons to Praise God :

1)    The Word of God is right (Ps. 33:4).

2)    All His works are done in truth.

3)    He loves righteousness and judgment (Ps. 33:5).

4)    His goodness fills the earth.

5)    His Word made the heavens (Ps. 33:6).

6)    He gave life to the host of heaven by His breath (Ps. 33:6; cp. Gen. 2:7).

7)    He controls oceans (Ps. 33:7; Gen. 1:10).

8)    He divides the watercourses and stores them for His purposes.

9)    And of course … YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD YOUR PRECIOUS FATHER

And even more reasons … that you can sing rejoice and sing to the Lord!

Prayer: Lord, as I repented from my sins and put my faith in you Jesus, I thank you for making me righteous. I’m not going to hear the accuser of my soul but I decide to rejoice in you worshiping you with all my heart. I sing praises to your name Oh Lord knowing it’s beautiful and a great honor to do it.

Quote: The new way made by Christ is more glorious, which makes you right with God allowing you to rejoice and sing praises to the Lord. It’s not only your duty but it’s an honor for you and it’s so beautiful for HIM.

Song: Oh Praise the name
