“And without controversyThou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
On behalf of the entire team at Jean-Luc Trachsel Ministries and in the name of our precious Savior, I wish you a wonderful year. I pray that 2023 will be marked by an abundance of His grace, His Presence, His peace, His protection and His blessing on you and your family.
For this wonderful year of 2023, what other passage of Scripture is more likely to determine the next 365 days than the famous Psalm 23? These magnificent verses, written by the young David, inspired by the Holy Spirit, are extremely rich in sweetness and guarantee the most beautiful promises for our lives.
First of all, I would like to point out the first part of verse 5, which reveals God’s heart towards our difficulties: “You set a table before me, in the presence of my enemies”.
When the torrents of the enemy seem to come down on you and overwhelm you, Jesus prepares a table just for you. This table is one of intimacy, fellowship, protection and nourishment that can only be found when we are face to face with Christ. It is interesting to note that God does not, at this time, make the enemy disappear… No, our enemies in this season are within sight. However, they can’t do anything to us because we are not in their grasp. They are forced to watch us enjoy the table of the Lord while remaining powerless. What good news and what an invitation from our King to share a meal in front of our opponents. So I pray that you may see, find and discover this beautiful table set by the divine Shepherd just for you!
Then I pray that you will experience the Presence of the Holy Spirit, that He will let you taste His love and power. May He fill you again and again and may His anointing flow over your thoughts, your body and your life. I pray that this oil, which is none other than the Holy Spirit in Person, will permeate you and act in all that you do. May your cup be full and your year fragrant with life, heavenly energy and glory.
Then, in conclusion, I want to declare on your being, on your family, on your business and on your church that ” goodness and mercy will accompany you all the days of 2023 “. May the goodness of our Father surprise you, may the beauty of the Lord amaze you and may His joy fill you abundantly. May you be richly blessed. Amen
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being my divine Shepherd. You care for me and guide me in Your ways. I ask you to bless me, to fill me with Your Presence and to keep me.
