Genesis 39:21
“But the LORD was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the LORD made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden.”
Despite all the injustice that Joseph suffered, he stayed faithful to the Lord and moved forward. He didn’t spend that time being bitter. He could have thought, “God, why did this happen to me? That´s not fair. My own family rejected me. What did I do to deserve this?” No, he just shook off these kinds of questions that bring us down. You need to quit trying to figure everything out. I’ve seen too many people asking all kinds of questions that didn´t help them move forward, like: “Why isn´t God with me? What did I do to deserve this? I don’t deserve this treatment after all the great things I’ve done, why does this happen?” I want to be honest with you, the truth is, there are some things you’re just never going to understand. The main thing is: let it go and don’t let it poison your life. Embrace God’s faithful love and open yourself to His favor even in prison.
God put a dream in Joseph that one day he would do great things, one day he would be in leadership. But Joseph’s life seemed to be going in the opposite direction. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. When God puts a promise in your heart don’t be surprised if you face opposition. Don’t be surprised if all kinds of adversities come against you. The enemy wants us to give up and think God’s promises will never manifest. Joseph was sold into slavery, mistreated, lied about, and forsaken. If anyone had a reason to give up, it would have been Joseph. He could have said, “God, I thought you put a dream in my heart. But I might not have understood correctly, because everything is going in the opposite direction”. No, Joseph kept his heart pure, trusted the Lord and experienced the faithful love of his God.
My friend, God is with you as He has chosen you. We are all facing enemies as there is a call of God on our lives to fulfill great things for Him. Choose to quit the questions that bring unbelief, and put your faith in this good God who loves you so much. His favor is upon you even in you feel in prison. Don’t forget, as God’s love is more powerful than any enemies and opposition, one day you will overcome and fulfill your dream. One day you will be in the position where God called you to be. As you are faithful, God will never forsake you. He is faithful and is releasing over you His love and favor to succeed.
Prayer: God, I have many questions with no answers. But I decide to let it go and to put all my energy to seek You. I’m grateful for Your faithful love and favor towards me. Lord, You know where I am, You’ve seen all the challenges I’m facing. As I put my trust in You, I declare God’s faithful love and favor are with me to succeed in everything.
