God’s face smiling on us !

Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord.

Psalms‬ 4:6‬ ‬‬‬‬‬‬

Today, most people look for something good. Not for the greatest good, all they want is outward good, present good, partial good. A good meal, a good drink, a good trade, and a good estate. But what are all these worth? Any material good will satisfy most men, but a righteous soul will not be lured away so easily.

Lord, let us have Thy favor, and let us know that we have it. That is all we desire. Let us be satisfied by Thy loving-kindness and we will be satisfied with it. Many look for happiness, but David had found it. David, in his flight from his son Absalom, had no priest with him to bless as commanded in Numbers 6:23-26. But David, having his heart turned towards the Lord, he knew and experienced one of the greatest miracles. In the midst of brokenness, being betrayed by many and especially his own son, he turns his hope and trust to God. And he said in the midst of this tragedy, “who will show me better times”. He knew that only God, his good God would manifest Himself full of gentleness, defend David and make him right in the midst of terrible and unfair situations.

As he was crying, hopeless, desperate, he lifted up his eyes and saw the most beautiful smile on the earth coming from God Himself in heaven. This smile on the most beautiful face was more powerful than any words or friends to defend David. This precious smile revealed this amazing God who loves us so much. This smile was the seal of approval from God Almighty, expressing that David was righteous and that the Lord was with him. God’s smile on us is His favor that will change everything from bad to good and open new ways and doors that nobody can close except our Almighty God.

Prayer: Lord God, I only need one thing : “Let Your face smile on me today”. The moment I’m going to see Your smile, I will know that You are with me. You are righteous, defending those who are falsely accused and betrayed by jealous people. When You smile on me, I know that You will never forsake me and will release a wind of favor so I can have the victory.

Quote: God’s smile on us is the most beautiful expression of God the good Father releasing the wind of His favor to open new ways and doors.
